We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic entry-level Powertrain Machining Process Engineer(Cyl. Block , Cyl. Head, Valve Body ) to join our dynamic manufacturing engineering team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with 0-1 year of experience who is passionate about automotive engineering and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will contribute to optimizing and improving powertrain Machining lines, ensuring high-quality production, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and grow within the automotive industry.

  • Support the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of powertrain Machining  processes for various components (e.g., Cyl. Block , Cyl. Head, Valve Body , Tooling & Gauging ).

  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, minimize scrap, and improve overall equipment effectiveness.

  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for production issues, quality concerns, and warranty claims .

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, quality, production, and maintenance, to resolve manufacturing challenges and support new product introductions.

  • Help create, review, and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans to ensure clear guidelines for Machining operators.

  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, 5S initiatives, and other continuous improvement methodologies on the Machining line.

  • Assist in data collection and analysis using tools like Excel or other statistical methods to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of Machining Process equipment, tooling, and fixtures, ensuring they meet production requirements and quality standards.

  • Contribute to design for manufacturing Machining Process reviews, providing feedback to product design teams.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to process changes, improvements, and issues.

  • Required Skills:

  • Technical Acumen: Foundational understanding of powertrain systems, internal combustion engines, transmissions Components Machining  processes.
  • Reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings
  • Understanding on Engineering Geometric Dimension and Tolerance.  
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Data Analysis: Basic proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel). Familiarity with statistical tools is a plus.
  • Quality Tools: Basic understanding of quality control concepts, Kaizens and tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis,) is beneficial.
  • Software: Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Initiative: Proactive and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Preferred (But Not Required) Skills/Experience:
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or Machining environment (e.g., through internships, university projects).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with process simulation tools.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Internship or project experience in a manufacturing Machining setup
  •  Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD)
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Production Engineering
  • 0-1 year of professional experience (internships, co-op experiences, or significant academic projects in a relevant area will be highly valued).
