Working cross functionally with Purchasing and MP&L SMEs as ONE Centre of Excellence (COE) Team and leverage Digital tools within Ford to progress Ford ability to mitigate Tier N issues.

Proactively manage Tier N supply chain risk detection and mitigation before they manifest into a supply disruption.
Lead in preparing and distributing flash report, Critical event report and with cross functional teams.

  • Review multiple news alerts, identify, and summarize key take aways for flash report, critical events report and category digest
  • Triage daily events signals with category, commodity & network data to arrive at insights and use them to scan categories & commodities for emerging risks
  • Develop "Critical" insights (based on N-Tier network, Supplier/Category/Commodity risk scanning) on impending unfavorable situation for suppliers
  • Scrubthrough open sources to gather more information on certain events when needed
  • Understand supply/demand & structural risks at category/ commodity level
  • Profile risks & perform analysis based on targeted risk alerts and present the findings to steering team
  • Timely preparation & delivery of executive level reporting, including weekly, monthly, quarterly status reports for Sr. Leadership
  • Demonstrate Agility & Innovative mindset in running the project and represent in Leadership forums
  • Be integral part of N-Tier project (comprising of both Purchasing & MP&L) executing the "Risk Mitigation Framework" of scanning, profiling & developing supply protection plans
  • Work with IT & systems to accelerate technology deployment for N-Tier visibility

Candidate Specification 

Education Qualification              : B.E / B. Tech / Masters in supply chain

Number of Years of Experience: 3-5 Years in Business Reporting/SCM/Purchasing/Project Management

Professional Exposure                : Experience in Business Reporting and Supply chain 

Exposure to ERP systems / Inventory Planning & Management

Close interaction with Materials Management / 

Commodity Buyer / Supply Chain Management

Skill & Knowledge requirement: 

  • Good knowledge of supply chain and familiarity with multi-tier value chain (including key categories, commodities, suppliers, etc.)
  • Proficient in language with good writing and editing skills
  • Ability to read thru risk events and draw interpretation
  • Conversant with MS Office application with higher proficient in PowerPoint preparation 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively 

  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible to work in night shifts
