We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer with strong programming fundamentals and experience developing web applications to join our Communications team.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an engineer, preferably with prior Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience having a strong foundation in software development.
We are looking for someone with technical foundation, curiosity, problem-solving ability, and determination to learn who can progressively take on more complex technical responsibilities.
With the right mindset and commitment to continuous learning, this role provides an opportunity to develop deep expertise in AEM, Java/backend development, frontend technologies, web architecture, and enterprise application development.
Software Development
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications.
- Apply strong software engineering principles to create clean, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes.
- Participate in code reviews and continuously improve code quality.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders.
AEM & Web Development
- Develop AEM components, templates, services, APIs, and integrations.
- Build modern web experiences using HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and frontend frameworks.
- Develop an understanding of how content management systems, backend services, APIs, and frontend applications work together.
- Progressively take ownership of more complex AEM and web development initiatives.
Continuous Learning & Growth
- Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new technologies and development practices.
- Take initiative to build technical knowledge through hands-on experimentation, self-training, documentation, and other learning resources.
- Apply newly acquired knowledge to real-world development problems.
- Seek feedback and actively work to strengthen technical skills.
- Grow from implementing well-defined solutions to independently designing and delivering increasingly complex solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end technical execution of Corporate Communications products. Partner with the Product Owner to review requirements and collaborate with the Tech Anchor to design, code, and deploy scalable frameworks using React and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Leverage AEM and React to build scalable features and resolve technical issues while partnering closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, user-focused solutions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders, designers, and product managers to define requirements, evaluate technical approaches, and architect solutions
- Design, develop, and deliver feature implementations within sprint commitments
- Conduct thorough testing across development and QA environments to ensure quality and performance standards
- Triage production issues and deploy timely fixes to maintain site reliability and user experience
- Provide application support and support cloud migrations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in at least one core programming language such as C#, Java, or similar.
- 2+ years of web development experience.
- Solid experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, HTTP, REST APIs, and web application fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand existing systems and learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.
- Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and ability to work independently.
- A genuine interest in learning and growing as a software engineer.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with Java Spring Boot.
- Experience with React, or Angular, or another modern frontend framework.
- Experience building or consuming RESTful APIs.
