What you’ll be able to do: 

Data Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the anticipated worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the anticipated worksite. Contribute to overall data standards, information interoperability, data quality, and data availability. Autonomously perform Quality Assurance and resolve data quality issues. Evaluate, explore, and select the right data platform technologies to meet analytics requirements. Model data, create data flow diagrams, load, and perform transformation. Independently drive alignment and delivery of data transformations and data products to meet business objectives. Build product and align the best coding and process practices that improve efficiency, speed, stability, system resources and capabilities. Lead in translating business requirements to build scalable, sustainable, efficient, coded processes. Productionize coded processes and contribute to overall customer/end-user experience strategy and vision. Support scalable growth, to accelerate delivery of business value. Drive the data strategy and align it with continuously changing business landscapes utilizing their background in data design, data architecture, and data modelling (both transactional and analytical). Utilize Database technologies (e.g. HIVE/Hadoop, Teradata, Google BigQuery) as well as tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Office, IBM PowerDesigner, Microsoft Visio, Informatica BDM, and Alteryx). 

You'll have... 

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.  4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  1. Collaborating with a wide variety of marketing and sales business customers as well as technical stakeholders to define detailed business requirements for complex data products related to retail customers and the vehicles which they own. 2. Connected vehicle diagnostic trouble codes and the vehicle service sector to define, design and deliver solutions that allow vehicle service centers to provide customers with enhanced services and advanced notification of the health of their vehicles. 3. Collaboration with a wide variety of business and technical stakeholders to define, design, and deliver complex data products related to consumer purchase and use of connected vehicles and the features offered by connected vehicles. 4. Use of SQL and stored procedures for data mining and developing data transformation logic as a part of delivering detailed functional specifications and to verify the accuracy of business requirements with detailed data analyses.  5. Leading data product design and redesign initiatives, including defining the product roadmap, managing resources, and ensuring timely product delivery.  6. Data visualization, formatting analytics data, and presenting data to senior engineers. 7. GitHub, Jenkins, and Apache Airflow. 8. Implementing data processing jobs using PySpark on GCP Data Proc for transforming large datasets.    3 years of experience with the following skill is required:  1. North American and EU customer privacy and consent laws.

We are offering a salary of $138,486.00 - $164,486.16/yr.
