Do you believe data tells the real story? We do! Redefining mobility requires quality data, metrics and analytics, as well as insightful interpreters and analysts. That's where Global Data Insight & Analytics (GDIA) makes an impact. We advise leadership on business conditions, customer needs and the competitive landscape. With our support, key decision makers can act in meaningful, positive ways. Join us and use your data expertise and analytical skills to drive evidence-based, timely decision making.
The Data Product Analyst will drive strategic thinking for Ford’s Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and will be responsible for contributing to the development, implementation, and lifecycle management of high-quality reusable foundational data products, bringing in strategic sources for enterprise needs, and data capabilities.
This role involves close collaboration with Ford skill teams, Analytic, GDIA DPE Teams, especially Central Engineering, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. The Analyst will focus on specific aspects of the data product lifecycle as well as new opportunities to support prioritized Ford initiatives with data.
In this position...
- You'll shape the future of Ford's data strategy by identifying trends, uncovering synergies, and transforming existing data assets into high-value enterprise solutions.
- You'll own and drive a dynamic, quarter-over-quarter product roadmap — reporting realized business value to stakeholders and leadership and making a measurable impact on the organization.
- You'll sit at the intersection of business, engineering, and data — bridging technical and non-technical audiences and turning complex information into clear, actionable decisions.
What you'll do...
- Lead data product development by analyzing trends, patterns, and opportunities to combine existing data assets into innovative, high-value enterprise solutions.
- Collaborate across business, data engineering, and analytics teams in an agile environment — contributing to quarterly planning, roadmap development, and delivery tracking.
- Ensure data products meet engineering standards and maintain data quality, integrity, and governance compliance throughout the full product lifecycle.
- Monitor data source and product usage, leveraging market research and competitive analysis to continuously inform and refine data product strategy.
- Validate project scope and complexity across cross-functional teams, leading efforts that keep initiatives aligned, on track, and delivering value.
You'll have...
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, and/or data analysis, with a strong ability to understand and articulate the business "why" behind the data
- 3+ years of proven experience working with large datasets and data processing tools such as SQL, Python, Kafka Streaming, or Terraform
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to lead productive meetings that drive decisions and follow-up actions
- Demonstrated ability to leverage Generative AI — not just for task assistance, but for designing automated workflows and agents that accelerate the data product lifecycle while maintaining quality and strategic alignment
Even better, you may have...
- Experience with data visualization tools such as QlikSense, Google Data Studio, or Looker
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
