We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join the MP&L team, reporting directly to the ME Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring workstation ergonomics, planning and executing the annual efficiency plan, applying lean manufacturing tools, driving problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting production, quality, and cost objectives, as well as actively participating in new model launch processes.
Responsibilities
- Participate as an active member of the Local Ergonomics Committee.
- Conduct ergonomic evaluations of workstations and follow up on stations flagged as "red" and ergonomic complaints.
- Perform annual ergonomic evaluation of 100% of workstations.
- Define stations suitable for pregnant employees and individuals with disabilities.
- Conduct ergonomic evaluation of 100% of new projects involving station or process modifications.
- Plan, define, and execute the annual efficiency plan.
- Generate change proposals and present them to the Union and Human Resources.
- Coordinate with support areas (MP&L, Safety, Maintenance, Systems).
- Develop and deliver the change management "booklet" on schedule.
- Follow up on rebalancing implementation once executed.
- Update Broadcast, e-tracker, and EPQS with every rebalance.
- Ensure workstation compliance with standards (92% total, 95% low option).
- Develop efficiency projects in SAP and present them to Finance/Controllership.
- Get involved in engineering changes affecting station layout or labor, and adjust GSPAS accordingly.
- Maintain 3x3 versatility training related to rebalancing.
- Apply lean manufacturing tools and processes to improve operational performance.
- Identify innovation projects to increase operational efficiency.
- Model Ford OS behaviors when working with the team.
- Use quantitative problem-solving and quality improvement tools (Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Deliver daily production volume safely while meeting quality and cost targets.
- Design and execute a competitive, cost-effective operating business plan.
- Forecast costs, identify drivers/causes, and adjust plans to meet targets.
- Prepare cost estimates and new or revised methods and standards.
- Support engineering changes related to new model launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage workstation ergonomics (evaluation, follow-up, and compliance).
- Plan, execute, and control the annual efficiency plan (including SAP and Controllership reporting).
- Apply lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Ensure achievement of production, quality, and cost targets.
- Manage operating costs and cost estimation processes.
- Support new model launch activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Experience in Production, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, and Launch.
- Professional/working proficiency in English.

- Experience presenting to Finance/Controllership.
- Experience participating in ergonomics or safety committees.
Education Preference
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (or related field).
