About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Master Technician (Level 3 or Ford T‑Champ) with deep hands-on experience in Ford vehicles. The ideal candidate excels in engine and transmission teardown/rebuilds, electrical diagnostics, and the safe, effective use of Ford special service tools (ESST/SST). You will resolve complex technical concerns, handle warranty-related queries and documentation, and communicate effectively in English with Australian dealership partners. This role requires a team-first mindset and the flexibility to travel and work in varying conditions based on market needs.
- Perform advanced diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on Ford vehicles to OEM standards.
- Dismantle, inspect, repair, and assemble engines and transmissions/gearboxes with precision.
- Conduct advanced electrical and electronic diagnostics, tracing faults and resolving complex issues.
- Triage and resolve technical concerns with clear root-cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Manage warranty-related queries: verify concern and cause, capture DTC and evidence, prepare accurate documentation, and liaise with warranty/admin teams for approvals in line with Ford policies.
- Utilize Ford ESST/SST and associated diagnostic platforms efficiently and safely.
- Document work performed, diagnostics, and parts used in line with Ford processes and dealership standards.
- Liaise professionally in English with Australian dealership teams for technical escalations and updates.
- Support road tests, quality checks, and final delivery inspections.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to a safe, clean, and organized workshop.
- Adhere to safety, environmental, and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of vehicle modules is important for both retrieving Data Identifier (DID) information and conducting programming tasks.
- Experience with Ford diagnostic software and systems (e.g., IDS, FDRS, OBD-II workflows).
- Familiarity with Ford service information portals and technical service publications.
- Prior experience preparing and validating warranty claims in a dealership/service environment.
- Ford Information systems- PTS,GTAC, Servis2,
- Computer literate – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under pressure in difficult environments and different time zone.
- Experience with Ford diagnostic software and systems (e.g., IDS, FDRS, OBD-II workflows).
- Familiarity with Ford service information portals and technical service publications.
- Prior experience preparing and validating warranty claims in a dealership/service environment.

- Diploma or bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in mechanical / Automobile / Motor Mechanic
- Level 3 / Level 2 Master Technician certification (Ford) or Ford T‑Champ credentials (required
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working specifically on Ford vehicles.
