As an MP&L Launch Coordinator, you will serve as the logistics anchor for new projects, leveraging your expertise in Manage the Change (MTC) and Launch Process to guide MP&L through complex transitions. You will be instrumental in shaping material flow strategies, establishing Bill of Materials (BOM) integrity, and driving the successful execution of Pre-production events.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of automotive logistics systems (CMMS, WERS, GPP), and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. You will lead technical efforts to manage prototypes, evaluate workstation readiness, and ensure that all new items are integrated into returnable packaging fleets, driving both operational efficiency and environmental sustainability.

This position is required to be onsite full-time at the IEPC Plant.

  • Launch Program Management: Drive the MP&L Launch Scorecard to achieve 100% compliance across all timing milestones. Participate in Program Reviews, "Open to Go," and OKTB (OK to Build) meetings to ensure logistics readiness.
  • Engineering Change Leadership (MTC): Act as the MTC Champion by coordinating product and process change meetings. Document Engineering Change Notices (ECN), manage prototype follow-ups, and ensure BOM accuracy within logistics systems.
  • Plant Readiness & Material Flow: Partner with PTME to evaluate workstation readiness and material flow routes. Ensure that Purchase Parts meet Material Required Dates (MRD) for pre-production events and that PTR (Production Trial Run) plans are integrated into the BTS.
  • Inventory & Asset Optimization: Manage inventory adjustments (Transaction 37) in CMMS and maintain the obsolescence budget within target. Calculate and manage the Packaging Fleet Size Math to ensure sufficient dunnage for new programs along with Central Packaging Team.
  • Packaging & Environmental Compliance: Manage 1271 Packaging Forms in GPP and CMMS. Ensure all new items are considered for returnable packaging to meet environmental and cost targets.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between Manufacturing, PD, and Suppliers. Align with Industrial Engineering on headcount requirements and evaluate ergonomic aspects of new logistics operations.
  • Team Development: Coordinate MP&L training for new hires and manage administrative requirements (DROT) for hourly personnel that reports to this position.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in the Automotive Industrial sector within the Logistics area. Proven experience in Launch Projects and Engineering Change management is highly desired.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Expert-level knowledge of CMMS, WERS, GPP, and EWM.
    • Proficiency in PFEP (Plan for Every Part), BOM management, and SMART setup.
    • Strong command of AutoCAD for layout and route analysis.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Certified Six Sigma Black Belt preferred; expertise in 8D’s, 5 Why’s, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Language: Advanced English fluency (written and spoken) is required to collaborate with North American central teams.
  • Leadership & Soft Skills:

    • Strong Conflict Management and negotiation skills to handle Union and Supplier relations.
    • Exceptional Time Management to meet strict launch milestones.
    • A "Team First" mentality with a focus on Accountability and Innovation.
    • Resilience and the ability to work under pressure during critical launch phases.
