Our program, the Ford Supply Chain Academy, offers recent college graduates and early-career professionals (with a maximum of two years of experience) In-depth practical experience and unparalleled networking opportunities. Participants will connect with leadership, collaborate with professionals across various business units, and gain insight into full-time opportunities at Ford.

Supply Chain Academy program seeks enthusiastic individuals to join our Supplier Technical Assist (STA) team. As an STA team member, you will be involved in managing production suppliers across the region. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Selection and Development: A rigorous process evaluating supplier production capacity, material quality, delivery reliability, and financial stability. We utilize analytical and evaluation tools reflected in key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance.

  • Performance Monitoring: Consistent tracking of part quality, on-time delivery, and material costs. This often involves on-site audits at supplier facilities. Up to 40% of time traveling to domestic suppliers locations.  

  • Supplier Development: Supporting suppliers in improving their processes and capabilities to increase efficiency and quality. This may include knowledge sharing and investment in new technologies.

  • Support the development and execution of supply base and commodity strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives (cost, timing, quality).

  • Conduct data analysis to inform business decisions and track price changes throughout program lifecycles.

  • Support lead sourcing processes to secure best-in-class value, a diverse supplier base, and strong supplier relationships.

Education: Recent college graduate or early-career professional Engineering.

Experience: Maximum two years of experience. Genuine interest in supply chain / manufacturing process / problem solving

Language: Full professional proficiency in English (oral, reading, writing, and listening).

Soft Skills:  Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary to be successful in this position. 

                       Negotiation skills is a plus.

                      Self-motivated/independent/resourceful

                      Willing to learn 

Hard Skills:  Analytical skills (data-driven and capable of analyzing multiple scenarios).

Extra academic achievements are a must! (we are looking for examples leadership and collaboration skills)

  • Leader in student organizations

  • Above and beyond activities of any academic program or volunteering 

  • Innovation and/or disruption projects 

Availability:

  • Travel up to 40% in domestic areas in STA, SOT on a time-to-time bases. 

  • Ability to lead problem solving activities and manage resolution targets. 

  • Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive and urgent matters.
