The Diagnostics and Analytics team is looking for an automation tester to join the organization to help us ensure that our software has the highest possible quality. The candidate will be required to develop and execute functional and integration test plans for new features developed for the Diagnostics and Analytics framework. The tester will have the opportunity to explore testing distributed embedded systems, high traffic web portals, and highly scaled cloud architectures all within the same team! What you'll do...
The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Design, create, and maintain automated tests.
- Analyze test results and provide documentation/reports.
- Troubleshoot issues by analyzing logs.
- Determine reproduction steps for bugs found.
- Report bugs and errors to development teams.
- Work closely with development team to resolve bugs.
- Communicate with QA team to share knowledge and prioritize tasks.
- Build on facilities provided by test infrastructure team.
- Share updates from build & release team.
You'll have...
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience working with knowledge of test management software (e.g. TestRail).
- 3-5 years of experience working with JIRA, Linus OS, GIT and Jenkins.
- 3-5 years of experience working with Python and Python based testing frameworks such as Slash/PyTest.
- 3-5 years of experience working with BASH or similar shell script programming.
Even better, you may have...
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with test automation framework development.
- Familiar with good software design principles.
- Demonstrated ability analyzing requirements to achieve maximum code coverage.
- Experience with infotainment or mobile software (e.g. Android).
Familiarity with Agile framework.
Experience with Android / QNX.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Adept analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Focus on quality.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
This posting is for an existing vacancy within our team.
The expected annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $135,000 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
