What you'll do...

The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze and track daily Engineering Change Bulletins (ECB) to ensure all containment requirements are met.
  • Coordinate internal investigations and execute actions to contain and resolve warranty-related issues.
  • Lead the input and reporting for Basic Storage and Analysis of Quality (BSAQ) regarding manufacturing issues.
  • Maintain the Field Quality Review (FQR) Exchange reporting file to ensure data accuracy.
  • Present manufacturing quality reports during daily Product Integrity Committee (PIC), weekly Product Review Team (PRT), and monthly Product Care Team (PCT) meetings.
  • Support Product Development (PD) and Vehicle Operations (VO) by reporting out at Field Quality Reviews (FQR) and Vehicle Quality Reviews (VQR) as required.
  • Engage directly with dealerships to clarify warranty claim information in support of manufacturing investigations.
  • Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Vehicle Operations (VO), Ford Customer Service (FCS), and Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) regarding quality concerns.
  • Interface with Powertrain (PT) Residents and Vehicle Operations Initial Quality (VO IQ) teams to coordinate screening and containment actions.
  • Maintain "Paynter" charts (Pull/Repair tracking) for review at monthly Product Care Team (PCT) meetings and with Vehicle Operations (VO).
  • Manage the validation and formal response to Vehicle Operations Quality Rejections (VO QR), including immediate containment and long-term Eight Disciplines (8D) problem-solving responses.
  • Travel to Vehicle Operations (VO) or customer sites as needed to manage quality issues, containment efforts, or the management of loose engines.
  • Utilize specialized quality systems including QLSCM, Q-Net, FIS, and POSMON to support deep-dive quality investigations.

You'll have... 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained.  If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).

  • Six Sigma Green belt certified. 

Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in manufacturing engineering. 

  • 2+ years' experience as a Quality Engineer.

  • Six Sigma Black belt certified.


Experience:

  • Successful candidate must demonstrate leadership combined with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Must demonstrate the ability to achieve results, while organizing and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong technical speaking and writing.
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
  • Microsoft Office Knowledge (PowerPoint/Excel/Outlook).

The expected annual salary range for this Ford of Canada position is $85,000.00 - $135,000.00 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
