About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Architect to serve as the technical backbone of our frontend engineering. Your mission is to move beyond feature delivery and focus on building a robust, scalable, and automated development platform. You will define how our products are built, ensuring a seamless Developer Experience (DX) and high-performance delivery.
This is a Technical Lead/Individual Contributor role. You will provide technical direction and mentorship.
The Technical Challenge
- Work at the cutting edge of technology with Figma-to-Code automation via AI within the Google Cloud stack.
- Build an architecture that supports multiple teams and products at scale.
- Full autonomy to propose and implement tools that improve global engineering productivity.
- Design System Architecture: Architect and evolve our Design System based on Web Components, ensuring it is framework-agnostic, reusable, and easily integrated into Angular environments.
- Technical Standards & Guidance: Define, document, and disseminate frontend architecture patterns. Act as a technical consultant for product squads, ensuring best practices are applied.
- AI-Driven Innovation (GCP): Create acceleration tools using Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI / Agent Platform) to automate code generation (Figma-to-Code), bridging the gap between design and implementation.
- Frontend Health & Metrics: Develop tools and dashboards to monitor frontend health (test coverage, complexity, bundle size). Create actionable metrics to guide teams toward continuous improvement.
- Tuning & Performance: Drive performance optimization initiatives (Core Web Vitals, Change Detection strategies, Lazy Loading), ensuring ultra-fast and responsive interfaces.
- Technical Mentorship: Actively mentor interns and junior developers, creating learning paths to elevate the team's technical bar.
- Technical Evolution: Drive the adoption of modern Angular features (Signals, Standalone Components) and manage Monorepo (Nx) structures to optimize code sharing.
Technical Requirements (Hard Skills)
- Solid experience as a Frontend Architect or Technical Lead.
- Deep expertise in Angular (recent versions) and its ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience building Design Systems and Web Components (Stencil.js, Lit, or Vanilla).
- Strong knowledge of Software Architecture, Design Patterns, and Clean Code.
- Experience with Monorepo tools (preferably Nx).
- Experience with GCP (Vertex AI / Agent Platform) for building agents and automating development workflows.
- Mastery of testing strategies (Unit, E2E with Cypress/Playwright, and Visual Regression).
- Proficiency with design tools (Figma) and extracting Design Tokens.
Soft Skills
- Technical Mentorship: A passion for teaching and the patience to guide developers at the start of their careers.
- Systemic Vision: Ability to look at the entire ecosystem to anticipate development bottlenecks.
- Influential Communication: Ability to justify technical decisions and align standards across stakeholders (Product, Design, and Engineering).
- Pragmatism: Ability to balance technical excellence with business delivery needs.
